Creating Benchmarks in Customer Happiness with Unparalleled Dedication to Quality & Timelines

Overview

The coveted World Trade Center is a recent addition to the list of business addresses in Chennai. It is an architectural marvel poised to serve commercial, residential, and retail spaces. This project was built by India’s leading property developers, The Brigade Group, and managed by JLL India. It features a technically complex glass envelope provided by FUSO Glass to the renowned Facade Contractors – Alufit India & Mero Asia Pacific. Global Facade Solutions were the Facade Consultants on this project.

Background

The developers needed 48,000 Sq. Mts. of low e-glass for the building facade. This is a challenging task since the glass needs to be processed according to uniform standards. The developers had already experienced problems related to quality output and delivery timelines earlier with a different vendor. This leads to overrunning losses due to missed project completion deadlines. As a result, the developers had to stop the work even after glazing was done up to 2 floors.

At the cost of redoing the partly done structures, they wanted to turn to a reliable partner who could not only deliver the required amount of glass but also maintain the quality standards throughout.

FUSO Glass is the only Indian processor with 3 strategically located facilities, accredited by Glass Manufacturer, Saint Gobain, and Kuraray, the interlayer supplier. Because of our market goodwill, the developers showed their trust in FUSO to deliver their requirements in a scheduled time frame of 5 months.

Project Highlights

We committed to deliver uniform quality glass as a single vendor within the given timelines. We replaced the raw glass with Saint Gobain glass and prepared standardized processes to make sure the complete glass output is uniform. To support the expedited schedule we made sure the quality standards were approved by the developers beforehand.

To ease logistical disruptions, the renowned facade contractors – Alufit India and Mero Asia Pacific insisted on delivery of the glass from a single facility i.e. the Chennai facility. For any processor, this would be worrying because this would affect the delivery timelines of one project or the other. But owing to our strategically located plants, we accommodate this request. We successfully completed the supply & delivery of the processed 48,000 Sq. Mts. glass from the Chennai facility, within the deadline of 5 months.

  • FUSO’s Chennai facility worked with facade contractor Alufit India for supplying 29,000 Sq. Mts. of glass to their facility in Bangalore.
  • FUSO’s Chennai facility worked with facade contractor Mero Asia Pacific for supplying 19,000 Sq. Mts. of glass to their facility in Chennai.

Conclusion

We are proud to be chosen to be a part of this world-class project that will transform the city’s skyline. We believe in delivering the required quality adhering to the delivery schedule and price our products worth their performance. And with this project, we have added one more accolade to our credit.
